About this gene: The oncogene Bcl2 encodes a membrane protein that blocks a step in a pathway leading to apoptosis or programmed cell death. Studies in human and mouse suggest that the protein encoded by Bag1 binds to Bcl2 protein. The Bag1 gene product enhances the anti-apoptotic effects of Bcl2 and represents a link between growth factor receptors and anti-apoptotic mechanisms.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
