Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting rat Cryaa (crystallin, alpha A) gene expression by real-time PCR.

Rat Cryaa qPCR Primer Set – crystallin, alpha A

Also known as: Acry-1, Crya1

About this gene: Cryaa encodes subunit a, one of two subunits of alpha-crystallin, which is a high molecular weight, soluble aggregate and belongs to the small heat shock protein family. The Cryaa protein has been identified as a moonlighting protein based on its ability to perform mechanistically distinct functions. The Cryaa gene product acts as a molecular chaperone and is the major protein in the eye lens, maintaining the transparency and refractive index of the lens.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 24273; UniProt: P24623; Chromosome location: 20p12

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
