About this gene: The Cp protein is a copper-containing glycoprotein found soluble in the serum and GPI-anchored in other tissues. The Cp gene product oxidizes Fe to Fe and is proposed to play an important role in iron homeostasis. In humans mutations of Cp cause aceruloplasminemia, which is characterized by retinal degeneration, diabetes, anemia and neurological symptoms.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
